The Pelican serves as a prestigious symbol for many cultures and highly themed in this katana. The Pelican katana has been forged from carbon steel and cut with a deep blood groove, polished to a brilliant finish. The tsuba (guard) and tsuka (handle) are both adorned with pelican symbols and coated with an antiqued bronze finish. The handle is wrapped with a green nylon cord over real ray skin with visible wooden pegs. Housing the blade is high gloss saya (scabbard) adorned with hand painted bamboo stalks and thick sageo. Measures 41 inches overall, 39 1/2 inches open with a 29 inch blade, sword bag and cleaning kit included.
